Growing and Harvest Information
Plant Type: Annual/Biennial
Height: 15-48"
Amount of Sun: Full
Sow: If you're growing as a biennial, start seeds in late summer and transplant into the garden in the fall. If growing as an annual, start indoors 8-12 weeks before the last frost date. (Seed is very small; bottom watering is recommended until plants emerge.
Transplant: Harden-off and transplant out after the last frost
Days to Maturity: 100-120 days
Plant Spacing: 9-12"
Pinch: not necessary
Vase Life: 7 days
Potential Harvest Yield: 5-15 stems per plant
Harvest when buds are barely starting to break open. Once the flowers open fully, they're prone to damage by weather and rough handling so frequent harvesting is recommended. For the longest vase life, immediately after harvest sear stem ends using an open flame or dip in boiling water for 7-10 seconds. Place treated stems immediately into fresh water.
Approximate Seeds per Packet: 100
