Oeschberg is an amazing deep purple-red amaranth that is darker than Love Lies Bleeding, but with an upright growth habit. Seed heads are very highly branched and hold their color longer than other varieties, making it great for flower arrangements.

Harvest Tips:Harvest upright varieties when seed heads are about three-quarters open. Harvest cascading varieties when the tassels begin to elongate. Remove foliage so the spikes and tassels are more visible. If producing driedflowers, allow theflowers to grow until seed has begun to set and theflowers feel firm to the touch. If picked too early, they shrivel to thin strings. Harvest the mainflowers and allow sideflowers to develop.
